A Pledge to sell Handmade

From kimono style art smocks for your 'Messy Kid' to a new runway style fashioned rain hat by 'Baroness Ashley Hats', you will find almost everything you need to fill your holiday shopping list!


Each year Nicci Battilana, Artist & Market Organizer, does everything she can to bring you high quality, unique handmade items at reasonable prices.


When you think of all the hard work and design planning each vendor has put into bringing forth these 'Creative Finds', you will be pleasantly surprised by the prices. The “Creative Finds' vendors have been planning their products and booth space for the past six months. Once again, it will be an experience for the senses!


You may recall Rachel of Rachies Yum Yums, who we had as last years young entrepreneur of the show. This year, we have Taylor Lanthier, who was one of our wonderful volunteers back in 2007. She has been busy learning crafts and creating her very own line of “Decadent Doggie Desserts”, so that she may introduce you to her line of “Pixie Artist Creations”.


She is very proud of what she has accomplished this year, as well she should be. Her 'Decadent Doggie Desserts' were even sampled by all of her family, both canine and human alike. A thumbs up all around!


Other products at the Creative Finds Market include silk scarves, laser crafted pens from the fallen trees of Stanley Park, wood turning, painting on a wide variety of mediums, greeting cards, photography, soaps, buttons, and so on.


The Artists of these creations includes names such as Susan Keetley, Groovy Glass Girl, Violette Clark, Greg Parsons, Uli Ross, Jeff Maihara and many many more. You must come out and see all 30 of them and their work for yourself.


Mark Nov 15th at Sullivan Hall on your calendars, as this is one show you do not want to miss!

Happy November Everyone!

Time to start checking out all your local craft shows!

My latest GLITZY GAL CUSHION:
The photo featured on today's post is of the latest commission piece I have completed, which is actually being picked up this weekend!

The cushion was originally one of my multi stage peices I had to have completed for the filming of my feature on HGTV's "That's Clever". She was drawn out in permanent black felt and had only her skin tone painted in.

Now to get cracking on my Holiday Card designs! ....

CRAFT SHOW PREP IS UNDERWAY!!!!

Hi All,

I have been busy this last week creating the new postcards and one inch button give-a-ways for the up-coming 2nd Annual Creative Finds Art and Fine Craft Marketplace, which takes place on Nov 15th.

I will have free one inch badges to give away to the first 400 people through the door. Along with our traditional candy canes and entry slip for the large gift basket door prize.

The DOOR PRIZE gift basket(s) will be filled with creations from each of our wonderful vendors at the market. Last year we had so many lovely donations from each vendor that we had to split them up into two large baskets and I am sure it will be the same this year.


Make sure you mark your calendars, as we would love to see you there!

I just ordered new buttons/pins and cardstock backings...
which I hope to have in time for my Creative Finds Holiday Market here in Surrey, BC.

It was nice to come back in the house to work with bight juicy colours after venturing out in the rain to the local pumpkin patch today with some excited, yet VERY muddy, 5 year olds! (lol)


We actually found a lovely red pumpkin as well...which I have never had before!!!

I was quite excited to find it.

I will have to go through the pictures he took today and choose a couple to post for you tomorrow.

If you live in the Greater Vancouver BC area, make sure you mark Nov 15th off on your calendars, as you do not want to miss the big Art & Fine Craft Market at Sullivan Hall (near 152nd Street & 64th Ave).
