Trial and error:

Well I made my first pair of earings ...however, it seems, I made the mistake of going to a BIG BOX craft store which is a half hour drive away for the supplies.

Their plastic was frosted, which in turn gave the art pieces a very muted unattractive look (in my humble opinion). Therefore with now owning 9.5 sheets of frosted plastic and no where to use it, I headed into out local small community craft store 'Country Lane'.
There I found lovely plastic sheets (Polyshrink by Lucky Duck, which were not frosted) and fantastic silver earing hooks with an actual loop at the end and not just a divot which the earing would keep slipping out of. Plus, IT WAS CHEAPER there! Imagine that.
Just a sign that in the end we should try our best to always support the little guy/gal and steer clear of the BIG BOX competition.

I shall try things out again tomorrow morning with the pieces I have painted tonight on the 'clear' plastic (ha ha).
I will post the pictures tomorrow for all of you to compare.

FYI: Look what great add came out in todays (April Issue) Opus Art Supply and Framing newsletter:

Keep smiling and creating!
