ART for local Charity Auction....let's keep art in our schools!Tomorrow night 'Satine' will be placed on auction at the Elgin Hall in Surrey at 14250 Crescent Road. Auctions open just after 7pm, so get down there and bid people, BID!
Proceeds from the 'Silent Auction and Cocktail Buffet' go towards helping to compliment the students curriculum for items such as musical instruments and fine arts.
Lately these avenues of education have been stripped from our schools due to lack of funding... or shall I say big wig choices, etc etc.
We seem to be able to fund olympics which last a whole of ...what... 2 weeks, but they are closing schools and limiting taught subjects due to lack of government funding?????
Hmmm, I wish I could give myself a large wage increase once I was put in charge of the people's money.
Don't even think of bringing up our declining health care ...due once again to lack of Gov't funding...!
Instead of closing schools, why don't we make use of school buses more and keep the schools full of kids that want to learn and teachers that want to teach (like they did way back when). Or do the buses cost to much, so lets just close the schools instead.
So, if they won't take care of us, lets work on taking care of eachother and putting forth what we can!!!
Gee.... did I actually rant on my blog!?!?
Hopefully I will keep this one here. Usually if I rant on my blog, I feel bad later and take it down within a few hours (ha ha).
