Destroying Creative Works?!?

I have never been one to rip a page out of a magazine or book.
It's almost like destroying someone elses creativity, which seems very disrepectful to me.

For years I have hung on to certain magazines because I like one picture, illustration, or article in it.
Do you know how much space magazines can take up over the years!?
Last year I actually let go and sent my collection of 'Details' magazines off to the recycling depot. These were a few years worth of 'Details' from when they started out and were still (in my view) a funky magazine.
I can't believe I was able to recycle them instead of being able to let myself rip out the tidbits I would have liked to have kept.

I overcame this barrier today as I waited for my Mom while she was in seeing a heart specialist. They had a current (Sept.) issue of the Canadian Flare magazine.
I started flipping through it and realized for a change that there were more articles and images than advertisments. I was actually disapointed that my time in the waiting room ran out before I could finish looking through the magazine.
They had an article on 'Goth' influenced make-up and clothing. I never thought I would see the word 'Goth' when describing a fashion trend in a mainstream magazine. Boy, the general public has come a long way for what they will accept. It's about time!... or maybe it's just because my generation is now in the 'buying' age group?
I now want to go out and purchase the magazine, so that I can cut parts of it out and start a scrap book filled with images that inspire me. This way I will have a little reference book to help keep the creative juices flowing.

What a concept! Ha ha????!!
