If only ...Hi All,
Overall the Wellness Conference went well yesterday. I met some very nice ladies, had fun hanging out with my Art Sisters (Violette & Lynda), and sold a few art pieces in our alloted hour.
Unfortunately I went into this show with less than a handful of information. It wasn't until we were almost packing up that I found out (suddenly realized) that all the ladies were teachers from the Surrey Teachers Association.
I had no idea they were teachers! Yikes!
And here I was making magnets & stressing trying to paint small canvases entitled 'Wellness Angels' thinking this was for a group of healing type professionals.
A few of the magnets sold and one hand painted mug. Thankfully a lovely lady bought one of my favorite hand painted messanger bags. (It is the only hand painted bag I have done where I gave it a weathered look with the varnish once it was all painted.)
Otherwise I would have spent all that time stressing and working so hard for all of $20.00. I was trying to tell myself that just being there was 'good advertising'.
Which it is, but selling your work is also very nice and it gives you that 'warm fuzzy' feeling.
Gee I haven't been so paranoid about spelling mistakes in a long time (ha ha).
