"Christmas is coming and the goose is getting fat"

Besides Elvis, my favorite Christmas music album is the Muppets with John Denver.
I know, ... I know... it's still only November, but it's getting cold outside and I just can't seem to help myself these days.
I actually just hung my first string of holiday lights up outside tonight.
Maybe it's the fact that we have a small child in the house now and tend to see things through his eyes (or probably we see things how we hope he sees things... aka, the joy, the wonder, and of course 'Ole Saint Nick').

In the spirit of the coming holidays....

My LATEST CHALLENGE!:
Last year I had you all draw a frame of a tree image and then do your artwork inside the tree. Examples:

This year, I would love to see what you can do with a Holiday Stocking.
You can draw, paint, sew, crochet, knit, build one out of wood, metal, paper mache, jewels, feathers, old tree ornaments, etc.
My inspiration was from this years CHAPTERS add (see top of today's blog for image).
The deadline date in December 20th, 2005.
Please email the image to me at artchallenge@brushedwithmagic.com. The image size is preferred to be no larger than 400 pixels wide and/or 40.0 KB in memory. Don't forget to let me know what medium was used to create your toe warming, present hugging stocking!

CRAFT FAIRS:

I am considering looking into holding my own craft fair next year.
I will look into the cost of renting a local hall for a few days as well as getting quotes on insurance in case someone happens to fall down during the event, etc.
If I go ahead with this exciting plan of adventure, I will be looking for local Artist/Crafters that create wonderful and 'funky' holiday crafts, stocking stuffers, as well as other great pieces created by your talented hands.
Please let me know if you are interested.

BLONDIES on the beach:

I took a few pictures down at the beach today of Blondies store front.
The lighting however was not the best. Therefore I will try and go back down again tomorrow afternoon to see if I can get a better image for you.
It is SUCH A COOL STORE !

keep smiling & creating!!!!
