Painting like a mad woman!
Hi All,
I was painting like a woman possessed yesterday!
since it was the weekend and my hubby was home to watch the little guy, I got myself in the creative mode and drew out 18 cushion covers and two tote bags. I managed to get all the skin tones painted in and hair colour on a few.
This was amongst a few brakes and a few pain killers to help my injured shoulder.
I started off strong and then gradually petered out to just leaving my whole bedroom covered in cushion covers to come downstairs for my last break before I put them away for the night.
You should have seen it! They were everywhere!
You couldn't see my bed anymore and only part of the floor was visible.
My son is sick with a fever, so I figured that I had better do as much work as I can while my husband was there to take care of him, as these next few days I may not be able to even pick up a paintbrush.
His fever seems better today, but his is in the cuddle mode and wants to be either beside me or snuggled up on my lap. Poor little guy.
At least he woke up hungry today, as we couldn't get him to eat anything last night except for a bit of apple.
FYI: I have just deleted a few photos from my digital camera so there is a bit of space now to take some pictures on my work. I will try and take some either tonight or tomorrow night to show you how things are coming along and what new hairstyles, etc I have incorporated.
(FYI: photos added to BLOG on Tues Oct 18)
Deleting pictures is a big feat for me. I cherish pictures!!! That is the one feature about digital photography I have a hard time coping with. I like to know that I have a hard copy negative to fall back on, not some image saved on a disc or card that might either erase by accident or not work on some future format... therefore your pictures may be lost forever if something happens to the print you have. UGH!!!!!
I hope to buy a new card so that I may take an individual picture of each item before the show. That way they will be listed on their proper pages (ie: cushions, jackets, paintings, etc). Then I can place a SOLD watermark over each one that sells at the show, however people can still have a visual reference for ordering their commissioned art pieces.
Oh well, I had better get back to the little man as it sounds like he is starting to wake up from his nap.
Keep smiling & creating,
Nicci
