STRESS and the (possible) cure..... Art!

I just finished doing up a whole, wonderful BLOG only to have Blogger.com not work and lose the entire thing. Maybe it wasn't as wonderful as I thought and was meant to be trashed.

Anyways the cushions are coming along great.! I only have 2.5 months left until the BIG SHOW, so I am pretty mush trying to paint every night. Lately I have only been able to begin painting at 9pm, which is a little late. In fact the last few nights I have been too tired by then to start painting. I think I am going to have to enlist my hubby to look after our toddler in the evenings again, so that I may start working earlier.
Next week I will have to keep the ball rolling by taking a trip to my fabric store of choice followed by a visit to my wonderful seamstress.

FYI: these photos are of me from way back in 1990. The top one is me wearing my typical everyday clothes back then. These included stretchy black pants, black leather punk jacket, hair extensions, John Fluevog Pirate Boots with metal tips, black rubber bracelets, a few watches, silver cross necklace, many rings and small pirate themed earings, etc. Oh to be young and think you look cool! No regrets mind you. I loved it then and cherish it now. However, I did not have my own jacket yet so I borrowed Frankie's (from A Day In Paris...now a member of Trooper) jacket.

The bottom one is from when I was travelling through Europe and visiting a wine cellar in Burgundy, France. I am wearing one of my first painted jackets, back when I used water to dilute my paint and knew nothing of acrylic medium. As you can see the colours are very washed out and BLAH! But then again, fun vibrant colours were not part of the punk/alternative attire (and still aren't).

Thank you for visiting.
Please do not forget to drop me a line or leave a comment on my COMMENTS page.

Keep smiling & creating,
