A Work In Progress - Street Banner
We are only to use the colours provided and the theme is nature, etc ...'What White Rock means to you".
Therefore I am using the obvious flowers and sun.
However, MY GIRL represents... blue flowing water for her hair, and her lovely grass green shirt to represent the green park/picnic areas meeting up with the waters edge down on White Rock Beach. (Unfortunately 'white' was not one of the provided colours, therefore I am unable to accent the hair as though it were waves crashing on the shore.) The colour of her skin is the playful sandy shore welcoming those to come and greet her.
The girl also represents the intermingling of the young vibrant crowd with the mature visitors and locals to the area. (NOTE: When I was a young child, my Great Aunt along with others of her generation would go to the hair dressers to have a blue rinse put in their hair to dull the brassy/yellow tones of their graying hair).
NOTE: I must have the banner completed & turned in by this coming Monday. Therefore the completed banner images will be posted shortly.
