A visual rebirth, if I must!
Revamping the website!

I am always drastically changing the colour of my hair. From the lightest blonde to raspberry, to red, to dark brown, back to blonde, then to blue, etc, etc, etc.

This desire for visual rebirth seems to have spanned all the way over to my website. Until I learn how to do all the website designing & maintenance myself I will need to go at my husband's pace (as he is busy with his own projects). I would love to be able to at least change with the seasons so that you would all have something else new and exciting to look forward to and to try and figure out what direction, colour scheme, etc we will take next.

I have always strived to visually change. I used to completely re-arrange my furniture every 3 to 4 months to give me a new perspective on the room. Just over 2 years ago I was unfortunate enough to be in a car accident which has limited me. I can no longer lift TV sets or move wall units, etc...much to my displeasure. Being a stay at home Mom and an artist has made it frustrating for me to see these rooms more often than I used to and not be able to re-decorate at my whim.

To give you an idea, I have recently taken over the 3rd bedroom for my art room. So far I have only painted one wall....for two reasons. I can only do so much painting before the injury takes over, and the fact that I cannot move the large desk & shelving which is against two of the walls I need to paint. I painted the one wall two weeks ago and still need someone (hopefully my husband) to move the furniture so that I may paint the other three walls. UGH!!

Okay, so much for ranting.
Today I went out and purchased fabric for my pillow cushions and look forward to having them cut & sewn so that I may attack and embellish them. Oh, to be able to create (and change the visual outlook of an object) again!

FYI: The image above is the left front side of one of my recent painted jean jackets.
She has been put aside for the moment, as I am working on a completely different one at the moment (along with my sneakers).

Have a wonderful weekend!
keep smiling & creating,
Nicci
