What song would you have played at your funeral/memorial?I would like something upbeat/happy that would make people think of the good times we shared and not the sad.
Such as:
- Let's Dance by David Bowie
- Always look on the bright side of life by Monty Python
- Don't you forget about me by Simple minds
- Wasn't that a Party
- I had the time of my life
- Simply the best by Tina Turner
- Spirit in the Sky by Dr and the Medics
- I can see clearly now by Ray Charles
Just a thought. Let me know what you think.
At my Dad's service 10 years ago we tried to think of a good song that would make people laugh instead of crying. My brother suggested the 'lime in the coconut' song (I don't know the name). My Mom went with something else though, as she did not want to offend people.
Can you imagine if someone chose 'Another One Bites the Dust' ? What a hoot!!
We actually had them play that song when Marco & I made our first appearance at our wedding reception. (ha ha)
