Nina Hagen - 2005 - Commodore Ballroom, Vancouvera page from my journal:
FYI: I wore one of my painted jean jackets to the show and near the end of the night while I was standing up peering over the rest of the crowd to watch Nina, I notice bright flashes going off near me with people standing beside me facing the opposite direction. I finally realized that they were taking pictures of one another beside my jacket. One of them came up to me to tell me that she really liked my jacket & confessed that they were taking pictures of it. I was very flattered & gave her one of my business cards so that she could check out my website. It's nice having people appreciate your art.
Please visit my husbands website for more details of the NINA night.
What's new!?
I am in the process of stocking up on cushion covers to paint.
As I am going to try & sell them online, in stores, as well as at high-end craft fairs this winter (I am hoping to be accepted into this years Circle Craft X-mas Fair in Vancouver, BC).
I have been painting store bought cushions to date and would like to try just painting covers for easier shipping and handling. Then my clients just has to purchase a form for the cushion which can be purchased just about anywhere.
I will have a sample photo posted in a couple of weeks.
'Til next time...here is another drawing from my journal:
Keep smiling & creating,
Nicci
